
Although we realize that no one wants to throw away a book or put it in recycling there are times when that is best. If you need to do this please phone the library (610) 525-1776, to see if we can take large donations at that time. We ask that you not bring more than three bags or boxes to the library at a time. These have been formulated after many years of dealing with this process. Ludington has a number of rules governing what we accept and don’t accept.

Your generosity benefits us and the entire community by increasing funding for our services and collection. We always appreciate the generosity of our patrons. The money from the sales help with our ongoing expenses. Usually, however, we sell the items in our Book Store in the basement. In some cases, we add the items to our collections. Clean out your house, save taxes, and help your community. We will provide a form to you, the patron, for tax purposes that states the type and number of items donated but we cannot assign a value to your donation. We might add the item to our collection or sell it to benefit the library. Penn Wynne and Gladwyne are not currently accepting donations. Do you have lots of books, music CDs or DVDs lying around that you no longer need? Donate them to a Lower Merion Library such as Belmont Hills, Bala Cynwyd or Ludington. DECEM– Several libraries in Lower Merion Library System accept donations of items from their patrons.
